This course is the first in a four-part series describing Dynamic Temporal and Tactile Cueing (DTTC), a treatment method for children with severe childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). In this introduction to DTTC, we will focus on how motor-based treatment is different from that used to treat phonology and why that is so important in treating CAS. The goal and key characteristics of DTTC are discussed.
